Five Years Ago

This is just to say that tonight, at exactly 10:13 p.m., My Ancestors and Me will have been in existence for half a decade.  Amazing!

Blogging has been a challenge, a joy, a frustration, a great learning experience, a lesson in determination, and a real pleasure.  When I first began I wondered how I could possibly continue to research and write keep up a blog.  Then I began to use blog posts as a way to sort research challenges and discuss ancestors and things went more smoothly.

Being involved in the GeneaBloggers community has helped me in more ways that I could have imagined when I began.  I continue to learn from those who leave comments on this blog and from other bloggers' posts.

Thank you to every person who comes to read this little blog and especially to those who leave comments.  Without you it would be much less satisfying.

  4. Congratulations on your 5th. How did you remember the time, did you write it down in a journal? Or, as I suspect you have phenomenal memory? I'm looking forward to another 5 years, so you make it a full decade.

    1. Thank you, Barbara. Blogger told me the time when I opened that first post. I guess, technically, the blog was started before then because I had to write the post, but it was fun to imagine knowing the exact time. (No phenomenal memory. I have to make notes about everything these days.)

  5. I only relatively recently found your blog, but with Pennsylvania and Ohio resources, I had to start following! Happy Blogiversary!
