Mrs. Titus - Friday's Faces From the Past

Mrs. Titus was my grandmother Emma Bickerstaff Meinzen's friend.  Other than that I know nothing about her but she seems to me to have a pleasant, serene appearance.  Grandma has photos of her from this age until she was older, sitting in a wheelchair.

I would like to know where and how they met and how they became friends.  Perhaps some day I will research her.

This image was scanned from a photo, about 1 1/2" square, found in my grandmother's photo album.

If someone related to Mrs. Titus happens to read this post I would love to hear from you!

  1. Yes, she does have a sweet look about her. I often get absorbed in researching family friends. In fact, I have done that a couple times as a theme for the A to Z April Challenge. I hope Mrs. Titus's descendants find your blog. Wouldn't that be something!

    1. I remember that some of your A to Z posts were family friends, Wendy. I think I would be more inclined to research friends if I thought the research would help with my own family research.

It would be amazing if one of Mrs. Titus's descendants would contact me. After all, if my grandmother had her photo, perhaps Mrs. Titus's album had photos of my grandmother. (But I'm a dreamer!)

Thanks for visiting and leaving a comment, Wendy. I appreciate it.

    1. Yes, me, too, Brenna. Serene, perhaps even wise.

  3. I hope you and yours had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and are having a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. May we display your header on our new site directory? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the header will attract more attention. In any event, we hope you will come by and see what is going on at SiteHoundSniffs.com.
