August Celebrations Among Family and Ancestors
It is surprising to have a month in which only one ancestor has a birthday or anniversary, but that's the case in August. (At least until I find more ancestors' birthdays.)
I personally knew only a few of the collateral relatives so all the others are names and dates with possibly an anecdotal story or other bit of information about them.

I have so many family members with birthdays in August, my daughter, my father, my two nieces, It's a very busy month indeed. Now, in terms of ancestors - my maternal grandparents wedding anniversary and my maternal great-grandmother's birthday. Yes - a bit thin on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI think the rhythm of our modern lives is so different from those of our ancestors, Alex. That would change the popular months for births, I suppose.
